Thrive’s addiction treatment in San Fernando Valley covers many of the most common addictions Americans live with. In addition to alcohol and opioid addiction, we cover many substance use disorders that don’t make news headlines as frequently.

Thrive Treatment℠ Center in Santa Monica, California offers evidence-based, gender-specific programming to Los Angeles residents and out-of-state guests who are truly looking to recover from the disease of addiction and co-occurring mental illnesses. Through our integrated therapies & programming we are able to get to the root of addiction & mental health issues. We offer the following treatment services to aide in your path to recovery.
Many drug rehab facilities treat only substance use disorders, which is extremely important on its own. However, nearly half of everyone living with a substance use disorder also experiences at least one mental illness or mental health condition. Depression, anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) are just some of the mental illnesses our staff treats.
Because Thrive Treatment is committed to helping our clients get to the root of their drug or alcohol addictions, we place special emphasis on dual-diagnosis treatments. Self-medicating for mental health conditions is not sustainable in the long term, which is why our San Fernando Valley drug rehab center provides medication management to any clients who need prescription drugs.
If you have decided you need treatment for your substance use disorder, take a moment to give some kudos to yourself. Seeking help is courageous, and we applaud you.
However, you might wonder what your treatment will look like once you settle on an option. Will you need around-the-clock care and monitoring, or do you need some flexibility in your care so you can continue working and handling familial obligations?
Fortunately, Thrive Treatment offers varied levels of care to help meet your unique circumstances and needs.
If you are in active addiction, you might need the 24/7 monitoring and care of an inpatient program. Our residential inpatient program is a carefully curated environment designed to help you maintain 100 percent of your attention on detox and managing acute symptoms of addiction and withdrawal.
While away from stressors you might regularly encounter in the outside world, you’ll have regular access to medical professionals who will closely monitor your symptoms and provide you with appropriate medication. Our staff will also introduce daily routines so you can begin laying a foundation for your post-addiction life. Inpatient clients typically live at our facility for one month, but some may stay up to three months.
Our LA partial hospitalization program (PHP) at Thrive Treatment’s San Fernando Valley drug rehab center is the most intensive care regimen that is not considered inpatient. The PHP, also called the partial day program, involves a variety of talk therapy options (individual, group, therapy), experiential outings, and classes designed to help instill essential life skills.
Clients engaging in our PHP are usually present at the facility four or five days per week and typically spend six hours per day receiving care. Those who complete inpatient care often “step down” to the PHP as the next step in their rehab journey.
Similar to Thrive Treatment’s PHP, our LA intensive outpatient program (IOP) allows clients to receive in-person care several days per week. As with our PHP, IOP offers access to doctors, therapists, psychiatrists, and other medical professionals who will contribute to your rehab process. You will likely receive a mixture of individual, group, and family counseling.
Our staff delivers cognitive behavioral counseling (CBT) and dialectical behavioral counseling (DBT) so clients have the skills to manage challenges in the outside world. IOP clients often spend three hours per day at our center for a range of nine to 15 hours every week.
Although Thrive Treatment’s PHP and IOP are considered outpatient programs, our standard Los Angeles outpatient program is similar to what many people picture when they hear the term outpatient care. Our outpatient clients receive talk therapy once or twice per week in addition to psychiatry appointments as needed. The outpatient program at Thrive Treatment offers the most flexibility to clients who need to work and take care of loved ones.
A unique feature of Thrive Treatment’s options is transitional housing in our sober living homes. These clients have near-constant access to medical professionals but enjoy less scrutiny than they would receive in an inpatient program. Clients often form important, beneficial bonds with housemates who are living with similar challenges during their rehab journey. Sober living residents still receive appropriate treatment and participate in productive activities.
Thrive Treatment is pleased to accept plans from most major insurance providers, including Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Anthem, Cigna Drug Rehab, and many more.
We understand the stress involved in verifying insurance coverage for many health expenses, so we offer free verification during the initial intake process. You can fill out a form on our website or call 1-855-232-1334 to speak to someone on staff. After reaching out and confirming coverage, our admissions coordinator will conduct a pre-assessment and schedule your intake appointment.
