This past weekend was one we’ll remember for a long time. Thrive Treatment had the honor of celebrating 10 years of helping people change their lives, and we did it in a way that truly reflected who we are: with community, connection, music, food, and fun.
It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a decade since Thrive opened its doors. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of supporting countless individuals as they took steps toward healing from addiction and mental health challenges. We’ve watched people rebuild their lives piece by piece, reconnect with their families, and discover new purpose. That’s why this celebration wasn’t just about marking 10 years on a calendar — it was about honoring the incredible strength and growth we’ve witnessed, and the community that has grown with us along the way.
The anniversary party was truly special. We brought together staff, alumni, families, friends, and supporters for a night that felt like a big reunion. The energy was warm, welcoming, and full of joy. There was no formal agenda — just people connecting, sharing stories, and enjoying each other’s company. We had plenty of great food, live music that kept everyone smiling, and line dancing that got the whole crowd moving. It didn’t matter if you had two left feet — the point was to have fun, and everyone did.
What made this night even more meaningful was the setting. We hosted the event at our brand-new residential detox location in Woodland Hills. This space represents the next chapter of Thrive Treatment — our continued growth and our commitment to providing care that meets people where they are. Seeing our community gathered in this new space was a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come. It felt symbolic to celebrate 10 years in a place that reflects our future and the work we’re so passionate about.
We’ve been incredibly fortunate over the years to have a team of therapists, case managers, support staff, and leaders who are not just colleagues, but family. These are people who pour their hearts into their work, who show up every day ready to help, and who go above and beyond to support our clients and each other. This celebration was for them, too — for the people who have built Thrive into what it is today.
A Weekend of Connection — The AYAC Collective
The celebration didn’t stop there. Our 10-year anniversary party also served as a perfect lead-in to the AYAC (Adolescent + Young Adult Collective), which took place right after. It was a natural fit — the party helped break the ice and bring people together before the conference weekend kicked off.
Thrive was honored to be part of AYAC, and we were especially proud of the contribution from our Chief Clinical Officer, Dr. Lynn Salvatore, PsyD. Dr. Salvatore gave a powerful presentation on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and the important role it plays in helping young people take back their lives. Her talk focused on how DBT provides practical tools for managing emotions, coping with stress, and building meaningful relationships — all key pieces in creating a life worth living.
It was inspiring to see so many professionals gathered in one place, united by a common goal: to better serve adolescents and young adults who are struggling. The conversation around DBT was engaging and meaningful, and we’re proud that Thrive could help shine a light on the positive impact this approach can have.
Looking Ahead
The entire weekend reminded us of why we do this work. It reminded us that recovery is not just about getting through tough moments — it’s about building something new, something better, and doing it together.
As we reflect on the past 10 years, we’re filled with gratitude — for our clients, our team, our partners, and everyone who has supported us along the way. And as we look ahead, we’re excited for what’s next. Our new Woodland Hills residential detox is just one of the ways we’re expanding our services and deepening our commitment to helping people heal.
Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us, to those who cheered us on from afar, and to the many people who continue to be part of the Thrive community. Here’s to the next 10 years — and to many more milestones, memories, and moments of growth.
